What VaultMind Does
VaultMind is a Chrome extension that saves AI conversations, social media threads, and web content directly into Google NotebookLM. All processing happens locally in your browser.
Data We Collect
We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to our servers.
- All conversation content is processed entirely in your browser.
- Content is sent directly from your browser to Google's NotebookLM servers using your existing Google authentication.
- We do not operate any backend servers that receive your data.
- Extension settings and preferences are stored locally in Chrome's storage API.
Authentication
VaultMind uses your existing Google session (cookies) to communicate with NotebookLM. We never ask for, store, or transmit your Google password or OAuth tokens to any third-party server.
License Keys
If you purchase a Pro license, your license key is validated through Lemon Squeezy's API. We store the activation status locally. Lemon Squeezy handles all payment processing — we never see your payment details.
Third-Party Services
- Google NotebookLM — Content is sent to NotebookLM via Google's API using your authenticated session.
- Lemon Squeezy — Payment processing for Pro licenses. See their privacy policy.
Permissions
The extension requests these Chrome permissions:
- storage — Save your settings and preferences locally.
- activeTab — Read content from the current tab when you click save.
- sidePanel — Display the VaultMind dashboard.
- scripting — Inject the save button on supported sites.
- Host permissions — Access supported AI platforms, X, Reddit, and Google services.
Data Retention
All data is stored locally in your browser. Uninstalling the extension removes all VaultMind data. We retain nothing on any server.
